The Presence Project

The Presence Project is an ongoing collection of short videos and observations gathered from everyday life.

It began with a simple question: What happens when we slow down long enough to really notice?

At its heart, this project is a practice in curiosity. Not the kind that seeks answers, but the kind that pays attention. A leaf caught in a fence. Rain collecting in a puddle. A street musician playing accordion on a corner in Seattle. Small moments that most people walk past without seeing.

Each video is a record of observation. A reminder that the world is far more interesting than we often give it credit for. The camera is simply a tool for paying attention and asking, “What’s happening here?”

The Presence Project is grounded in the idea of beginner’s mind. It is an attempt to approach the familiar with fresh eyes, to stay curious about the ordinary, and to resist the temptation to rush past what is right in front of us.

These videos are shared in the hope that they encourage others to look a little closer, pay a little more attention, and discover that there is often more to see than we first imagine..
